24-25 Team Previews: Marmion

***High school coaches can continue to fill out the Season Preview Form to provide information on their teams. This is not required to be featured, but it does help provide context to put together the previews.

Marmion

Outlook:

The Cadets have a relatively young group for the Chicago Catholic League, but will look to build on the last few years under Coach Piekarz. Seniors Caden Anderson, Sam Dalmann, Matt Murray, Mac Moore, and Alex Eloe are all back after playing roles as juniors. Caden Anderson (8.3 ppg) could emerge as one of the leading scorers. There is a lot to like about junior point guard Ali Tharwani, who was unable to play varsity due to transfer rules. He’s a dynamic guard who can really shoot it off of the dribble. The Cadets will also look to some underclassmen in Joey Kramer, Dave Malley, Colin McEniry, and Brendan Kavanaugh to provide depth and some athleticism.

Key Players:

Jr – Ali Tharwani

Sr – Caden Anderson

So – Joey Kramer

So – Colin McEniry

So – Dave Malley

Prospect For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:

Caden Anderson (6’2 PG/SG, 2025)

Anderson is a crafty guard who has a nice edge to him. He doesn’t do anything too flashy, but he’s got a solid dribble pull-up game, makes sound passes in the flow of the offense, and guards the ball well. Expect for a higher offensive volume with some of the departures from last year. D3 programs should be giving Anderson a look.
