Illinois Hoop Prospects provides analysis, recruiting news, events, and resources related to high school basketball players throughout Illinois. This site was set up to highlight high school basketball players in Illinois during the extended dead period and has continued to grow as a one-stop shop for identifying prospects throughout the state.
Our events and resources are centered on encouraging competition and traits that will translate to the next level, both on and off of the court.

- We compile the list of prospects based on players we have seen in person or on tape, along with considerations from various coaches and media outlets
- All of our events (showcases, runs, senior all-star games, etc.) are invitation only to ensure a level of vetting and consistency across groups. With that being said, we always welcome recommendations from players/parents/coaches on kids who would be good fits for respective events.
- The listed stats for in-season posts, post-season awards, and college player updates come from a variety of sources and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate
- The prospect list is periodically updated throughout the year. You may recommend a player to be added to the list, but that will not guarantee their addition
