We are approaching the final week of regular season games. Here are the 10 players of the week for week 12. It’s seems like the season is flying by, but the best basketball is yet to come.
Ahmad Henderson (5’11 PG, Brother Rice 2023)
Henderson did everything in his power to knock off Mount Carmel with 34 points and six assists in a masterful performance. The 5-foot-11 guard has brought out the best in teammates and is scoring whenever needed.
Bryce Moore (6’4 SG, Carmel 2022)
Moore had a career high nine threes in a 41-point outburst before following that up with games of 22 and 21 points. It was a big week for the Niagara commit who has scored over 500 points so far this year.
Conrad Luczynski (7’3 C, Bartlett 2022)
Add a few more monster games to Luczynski’s resume. He had 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 16 (yes 16) blocks against East Aurora. He then had 22 points and 17 rebounds against Streamwood while adding three assists and four blocks. Luczynski is a clear Division 1 big that is making a case as the top center in the class.
Derek Bishop (6’2 PG, Mundelein 2025)
The star freshman had a 30-point game against St. Charles East. Bishop added eight rebounds in the game and has not been shy while playing up for Mundelein. He has a bright future ahead.
Jalen Quinn (6’3 PG, Tuscola 2022)
Loyola has to be loving the dominance of Quinn this year. The 6-foot-3 guard piled up 45 points and pulled in eight rebounds in a double overtime game. Earlier in the week he had 35 points and 10 rebounds. He has already gone over 2,000 career points.
Julian Triffo (6’7 SF, Maine South 2022)
Triffo gave Proviso West a number of problems in a 29-point game where he added seven rebounds. On senior night, against a top-level Glenbrook South team, he was a bright spot with 16 points and five boards. One of the better uncommitted seniors in the area.
Nojus Indrusaitis (6’4 SG, Lemont 2024)
Indrusaitis doesn’t play like a sophomore at all. He scored a smooth 42 points for Lemont in a solid win. The 6-foot-4 guard picked an offer from DePaul before scoring a game-high 21 points in a close loss to Hillcrest.
Ricky Hill (5’10 PG, Minooka 2022)
Hill had 32 points, four rebounds, and four assists in a blowout win over Shepard. Then Hill hit a tough pull-up jumper at the buzzer to beat Yorkville in a game where he had 19 points.
Tavari Johnson (5’11 PG, Lyons 2022)
Johnson was on a mission this week. In a heated rivalry game against Hinsdale Central, he went for 24 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Which capped off with a rim-hanging dunk in transition. He turned around yesterday and had 20 points and seven more dimes.
Terrence Jones (6’0 PG, Longwood 2022)
Capped by a 31-point, 10 rebound game against Thornwood, Jones was playing at a high level this week. He hit five threes in that game as well before going for 19 points and seven rebounds on his senior night.
