Pecatonica

Outlook:

Pecatonica is loaded up for another impressive year after being a mainstay in the state 1A rankings a year ago. All-State seniors Cooper Hoffman and Jaxon Diedrich should be one of the better returning duos in the area. Hoffman is a high-flying athlete who gets to the rim well and can heat up from the perimeter. Diedrich is a well-rounded wing that uses his physicality well to affect games on both ends. Both are standout multi-sport athletes, which is a staple for this group. Six seniors return to the rotation along with promising sophomore Zion Braimah.

Prospect For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:

Cooper Hoffman (6’1 PG, 2025)

Hoffman has been a big-time producer as both a scorer and on-ball defender over the last few years. He doesn’t garner the same attention as some Chicago-area peers, but he’s a legitimate college prospect who excels at getting paint touches, making tough shots, and impacting games as a rebounder and perimeter stopper. His ability to shoot it from the outside will also be a valued trait at the next level. Hoffman still seems to be under discussed from a statewide perspective.
