24-25 Team Previews: Lockport

***High school coaches can continue to fill out the Season Preview Form to provide information on their teams. This is not required to be featured, but it does help provide context to put together the previews.

Lockport

Outlook:

There is optimism for a big improvement over last year’s season for Lockport with four starters back. Three-year point guard Bryce Turner led the team in assists and steals last season. He’s a heady floor general who can create offense and score as needed. Fellow senior Anthony Kosi (12 ppg) is a knockdown shooter who has college appeal following an All-Conference season. Collin Miller (10 ppg) should also have another productive year after leading the Porters in rebounding last year.

The Porters will look to be a high-volume three-point shooting team, which will be boosted by some skilled sophomores. The Venckus twins (Nedas and Nojus) both handle the ball well and can score the ball from multiple levels. Anthony Munson will be another playmaker to help in the backcourt for Lockport.

Key Players:

Sr – Bryce Turner (5’8 Guard)

Sr – Anthony Kosi (6’2 Guard)

Sr – Collin Miller (6’3 Guard)

So – Anthony Munson (5’10 Guard)

So – Nedas Venckus (6’2 Guard)

So – Nojus Venckus (6’2 Guard)

Prospects For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:

Bryce Turner (5’8 PG, 2025)

Turner is a scrappy, smart point guard who has shown the ability to make big plays down the stretch for Lockport. After battling an injury earlier in the year, Turner looks to have an impactful senior year using his on-ball defense, passing instincts, and shooting to help lead the way.

Anthony Kosi (6’2 SG, 2025)

Kosi checks off some boxes as a solid scorer and shooter at the two guard spot. Around 6-foot-2 with a decent frame, Kosi can play through contact and guard on the wing effectively. Where he really stands out is as a perimeter shot maker, where he made 40 percent of his three-point tries last year. A number of D3 programs have already offered Kosi so far.
