24-25 Team Previews: Fenwick

***High school coaches can continue to fill out the Season Preview Form to provide information on their teams. This is not required to be featured, but it does help provide context to put together the previews.

Fenwick

Outlook:

The Friars return a significant number of their rotation players back from a team last year that showed a ton of fight. Ty Macariola, Kam Hogan (Rockford), and Dom Ducree are one of the most experienced backcourts in the Chicago Catholic League. Auburn football commit Nate Marshall is also a multi-year varsity player who will give them a versatile frontcourt force. Expect another year where Fenwick is rooted in their defensive activity and competitiveness with the veteran, senior-heavy group to handle big moments.

Key Players:

Sr – Ty Macariola (Guard)

Sr – Kam Hogan (Guard)

Sr – Dom Ducree (Guard)

Sr – Deonte Meeks (Guard)

Sr – Jack O’Leary (Center)

Sr – Nate Marshall (Forward)

Sr – Frankie Hosty (Forward)

Prospect For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:

Ty Macariola (6’0 PG, 2025)

Macariola has been a staple in the Friar lineup, bringing high-level toughness at the guard spot. He’s a productive shooter who can hit shots off of the bounce consistently. Macariola is one of the standout defenders in the lineup who projects as a solid on-ball stopper at the next level. Able and willing to play on and off of the ball, Macariola should continue to have quality D3 appeal.

Kam Hogan (6’1 PG, 2025) – Rockford commit

Hogan committed to Rockford a few months ago and is set to be a two-way impact player for Fenwick. As a defender, he’s excellent using his physicality and lateral quickness to disrupt things. He is also a sound playmaker who can get two feet in the paint and make on-point passes.

Dom Ducree (6’1 PG/SG, 2025)

Ducree is a very underrated guard who can score in a variety of ways. He should be an All-CCL player this year with his ability to fill it up off of penetration, pull-ups, or kick outs. Ducree already possesses a good frame that will translate to the college game and that attacking mentality that tends to yield good results.
