***High school coaches can continue to fill out the Season Preview Form to provide information on their teams. This is not required to be featured, but it does help provide context to put together the previews.
Sycamore
Outlook:
This should be a fairly senior-heavy group who will be looking to have a nice season with a couple of multi-year rotation players coming back. 6-foot-4 junior Isaiah Feuerbach continues to grow and should be one of the best players in the conference. Now entering his third varsity season, he has skill and length that can be a difference. He missed significant time a year ago but should open some eyes this year.
Senior guards Unique Shaw and Carter McCormick. Shaw will likely to provide some scoring in the backcourt and McCormick will be a spark plug on both ends. 6-foot-2 wing Carter York should have an elevated role while Jake Shipley and Michael Chami (6-foot-6) will add some length and rebounding inside. Sycamore has experience that could pay dividends as the year progresses, particularly if Feuerbach takes the jump that I anticipate.
Key Players:
Jr – Isaiah Feuerbach (6’4 G/F)
Sr – Unique Shaw (6’1 G)
Sr – Carter York (6’2 F)
Sr – Jake Shipley (6’2 F)
Sr – Michael Chami (6’6 C)
Sr – Carter McCormick (5’9 G)
Prospect For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:
Isaiah Feuerbach (6’4 SG, 2026)
Feuerbach has a savvy game that can be best appreciated by the way he moves off of the ball and is efficient with his touches. Now at 6-foot-4, he has height to shoot over the top of other guards while still being a plus three-point threat with activity on the defensive end. He’s a player to track in the conference.
