***High school coaches can continue to fill out the Season Preview Form to provide information on their teams. This is not required to be featured, but it does help provide context to put together the previews.
Grayslake North
Outlook:
This could be one of the better teams in recent memory for the Knights, who bring back six players who saw serious minutes a year ago. Jayden Hunt is a talented, productive lead guard who sets the tone at the point guard spot. He is entering his fourth season as a varsity starter after averaging around 20 points a game as a junior. His defensive impact also sets a great example for the rest of the team. Junior forward Uros Mitrovic emerged last year with a strong face-up game and solid skillset inside offensively. He averaged 14 points a game as a sophomore and has been a deadeye shooter in his first two seasons. Tyler Morgan (6-foot-6) is another three-year player who gives them versatility and size at the forward spot.
The Knights have a senior-heavy group outside of Mitrovic who will give them invaluable experience across the board. Carson and Brady Ballentine along with Chris Von Briesen all played solid roles as juniors and should be reliable options this year. Tyler McBride is another senior who will have an impact along with transfer guard David Magnuson averaged around double-digits last season. The strength of the senior class gives this team a high ceiling and they also have underclass groups who they are excited about in coming years.

Prospect For College Coaches To Keep An Eye On:
Jayden Hunt (6’0 PG, 2025)
Hunt has been an ideal four-year starting point guard. There’s a sense of urgency, but also intelligence that he plays with that can be hard to find with point guards possessing his speed. Hunt excels at creating offense, either for himself or others, and is a college-level transition player already. What maybe stands out most is his on-ball defense and off-ball activity to take charges, get deflections, and through off the rhythm of opposing offenses. Hunt should be a productive small college guard after wrapping up what will be one of the better careers at Grayslake North.
Uros Mitrovic (6’5 SF/PF, 2026)
In terms of flat out shooting, Mitrovic is one of the most impressive forwards in the area. He has the confidence and range to light it up from the outside while having enough ball skills to get to his spots off of a few dribbles. Mitrovic is around 6-foot-5 with a projectable build that suggests that he can play both forward spots going forward. I’d expect another nice step up in output for him after a standout sophomore year that probably went too far under the radar outside of the area.
