All-State Teams

All-Class Teams

All-Defense and All-Energy Teams

Player of the Year: Ian Miletic (Senior Guard, Rolling Meadows)

Stats: 20 ppg/9 rpg/4 apg

Marquette commit and MSL East Player of the Year. Miletic is a win-first star who has been fully locked into helping Meadows win all year. Nearing 6-foot-8 with the isolation skill to score on the block or from three and the vision to pick apart defenses as a passer. Miletic contributes at an elite level across the board and has the type of character and production to be viewed among the greats for the Mustangs.

Defensive Player of the Year: JT Pettigrew (Senior Forward, Bolingbrook

Stats: 16 ppg/11 rpg/3 bpg

A repeat first-team all-defense selection, Pettigrew was an anchor once again inside for the Raiders. The Valparaiso recruit is a stout interior defender, volume shot blocker, and an excellent defensive rebounder. Despite giving up some height at the five spot, Pettigrew’s defensive IQ and second efforts have set the tone for the Red Raiders.

Sixth Man of the Year: Darrius Hawkins (Fr. – Homewood Flossmoor)

Stats: 8.8 ppg/3.4 apg/2.0 spg/42% 3PT

Hawkins was excellent in a complementary role for the reigning 4A state champions, bringing immediate shot-making and playmaking off of the bench. Dynamic ball-handler made big shots, handled the ball well, and was a game-changer at times with his ball pressure on the defensive end.

Honorable Mentions:

Drew Gacek (Sr. – Glenbard West) – 7.7 ppg/39% 3PT

Joey Kramer (So. – Marmion) – 11.3 ppg/40% 3PT

Joey Nitz (Sr. – Woodstock) – 9 ppg/4 rpg/3 apg

Reggie Stevens (So. – St. Laurence) – 7 ppg

Coach of the Year: Brian Hynes (Marist)

Hynes has led Marist to a historic 30-plus win season in a tough ESCC where they have maximized their talent. Despite missing standout junior forward Stephen Brown for the first half of the season, the Redhawks have impressed on both ends and had different players step up throughout the year in an up-tempo, unselfish fashion.
