Team Preview: Antioch

After losing eight seniors from last year’s team, including four starters, Antioch will have a different look this year. Mark Render (9 ppg) returns to the starting lineup and should see a nice jump in output. He is a quality 6-foot-1 guard who can score it from the perimeter and heat up when he gets in a rhythm. Fellow senior Cooper Marabella, a forward who shot 52 percent from three last year, will add experience and strength to their front line. Senior Chance Parsons also saw some minutes as a junior and will add to their floor spacing, while Zach Kavich should add some depth as well.

They will be largely inexperienced as a group, but have some promising young pieces to look forward to as the year progresses. I think 6-foot-5 freshman Miles Marabella has a chance to be a special player for the Sequoits and one of the better college prospects in the area with his length, ball-handling ability, shot-making chops, and athleticism already. He will make an immediate impact. Sophomore Logan Lennon led the team in assist-to-turnover ratio as a freshman and should be one of the top decision makers for the group this year. He is a talented football player who will bring an athletic edge to the young group. Look for junior Jake Yeager and sophomore Liam Hill to make some contributions as well. They have been very successful in the area under Coach Sean Connor over the last few years, finishing in the top two of the NLCC over the last three seasons.

Prospects To Watch:

2026 Mark Render (6’6 SG)

2026 Cooper Marabella (6’4 PF)

2029 Miles Marabella (6’5 SG)
